X-ray of teeth

The X-ray room is equipped with modern X-ray equipment together with a computer radiovisiography system. Using a computer sensor instead of a film allows you to get not only clearer images, but also significantly reduce the radiation load on the patient.

X-ray of a child's teeth in pediatric dentistry

X-rays? Isn't it harmful?

When a doctor sends a child for an X-ray examination of a diseased tooth, parents often worry that X-rays can be dangerous for their child's health.

Parents should know that this type of additional examination is prescribed only strictly according to indications, for example, in case of tooth injury or complications of the carious process: pulpitis and periodontitis. Also, an X-ray examination is carried out to control the quality of the treatment, for example, when filling the root canals of teeth.

In pediatric dentistry, only by X-ray examination, it is possible to obtain complete information about the condition of baby teeth and the degree of development of the rudiments of permanent teeth, to assess the harmony of the development of the jaws. In baby teeth, carious cavities often form on the lateral (approximal) surfaces at the border with the gum, and it is simply impossible to identify them at an early stage until the nerve is affected without an X-ray.

In addition, in our specialized pediatric dental clinic "Your Dentist", X-ray images are performed on the latest digital Italian equipment with a special children's mode, which allows you to achieve high-quality images with a minimum dose of radiation.
