Dental prosthetics in children

Restoration of baby teeth is performed so that the child can wait for the appearance of permanent teeth without discomfort. Fillings are not the most reliable way, so special crowns are used. Most often these are special metal crowns that are made without casts. The doctor simply picks up the crown under the tooth and adjusts it. It is not required to grind the teeth under the crown. Thus, the child does not experience unnecessary torment. There are also strip crowns made of acrylic. Restoration of baby teeth with such crowns is carried out by filling the crown with composite material. After that, the composite is photopolymerized, and the crown is removed, and a restored tooth is obtained, which must be sanded and polished.
