Veneers
Only a dentist and only with a thorough examination can detect veneers. Thin plates on the tooth enamel of the central teeth look absolutely natural. Veneers are able to give teeth an ideal shape and color.
Veneers are thin plates 0.5mm thick, designed to cover the outer surface of the front teeth. With the help of veneers, you can change the color of teeth that cannot be bleached, correct crooked or too short teeth, remove large interdental gaps, without using braces.
In order to put ceramic veneers, at least two visits to an orthopedic dentist are required. First, the teeth are ground, then an impression is taken from them, which is sent to the dental laboratory, where the technician makes veneers. At the time of construction, which may take about a week, the treated teeth are covered with temporary overlays. At the second reception, ready-made veneers are tried on and, if the patient is satisfied, they are fixed on a special material. Ceramic veneers make it possible to accurately recreate the color and transparency of natural teeth. Veneers created in the laboratory cannot be distinguished from adjacent teeth.
Owners of veneers should not forget about oral hygiene. The border between artificial material and tooth enamel becomes a kind of risk zone, where food residues can clog, where bacteria can multiply, and therefore caries can occur. Therefore, teeth covered with veneers require painstaking and regular care, especially at the joints between them and veneers. Excessive load on the teeth with veneers is also unnecessary. It is not necessary to gnaw nuts or try to use veneers as a bottle opener – this can lead to significant damage to the restoration. And most importantly, do not forget to visit the dentist regularly.
